Aug 22 - Saray Nuñez Takes Home Miss Teen Gibraltar 2017 Crown
The final of Miss Teen Gibraltar 2017 was held at the Alameda Open Air Theatre where Saray Nuñez was crowned as the winner.
Rachel Michel and Soraya Garcia were awarded the titles of 1st Princess and 2nd Princess respectively.
Saray said: "I wanted to enter again next year to live this incredible experience all over again, but now I can’t! I am so happy with the result I could have never imagined it."
She will now represent Gibraltar at the National Elite Teen 2018 Pageant next year where she will be looking to secure a back to back win for Gibraltar after Shyanne McIntosh secured the victory for Gibraltar last year.
Other awards went to Saray Nuñez who won the Beauty with a Purpose, Miss Individuality and Miss Catwalk awards. Rachel Michel also took home the Miss Social Network, Miss Creative and Miss Elegance awards, with Soraya Garcia winning the Miss Photogenic award. Kayleigh Pereira secured herself two awards after being selected as Miss Friendship and the winner of the No1 Models award and Eve Miseikyte was Miss Interview.
The contest which was in its seventh edition and was organised by No1 Models which saw the contestants compete in five different sections and also had guest appearances by the incredible singer Macarena Rodriguez, who was runner up in the junior version of popular TV show ‘Se Llama Copla’.
Entertainment was also provided by Mediterranean Dance School with dances choreographed by Genyka Celecia.
One of the highlights of the night was when a check for £1030 was presented to Bloodwise Gibraltar on behalf of No1 Models as a result of all the fundraising so far this year by the contestants and No1 Models through their annual event Fighting Leukaemia with Fashion.
Director Kelvin Hewitt said: "We look forward to raising thousands of pounds more for charity throughout the year as the main purpose of our events is to help the community of Gibraltar."
