Dec 06 - Cancer Research To Set Up Christmas Tree This Saturday

The local Cancer Research UK Committee will be setting up a Christmas tree in Main Street, opposite the Cathedral of St Mary the Crowned, on Saturday 8 December as from 10am.

The 5 metre Christmas Tree has been donated by u-mee.

Please come down and pay them a visit to dedicate a bauble to a loved one in exchange for a donation.

The Mayor will be there at 11am to hang the first dedicated baubles on the tree.

A spokesperson said: "Father Christmas and his Elves from Dream Parties will also be paying us a visit. Everyone is most welcome to come along."
