Apr 11 - Governor Visits Bruce’s Farm
Yesterday, His Excellency the Governor Sir James Dutton and Lady Dutton visited Bruce’s Farm Rehabilitation Centre.
His Excellency was welcomed by the Minister for Equality, Social Services and the Elderly, the Hon Samantha Sacramento, together with senior staff from the Care Agency. They were given an overview of the work undertaken by the centre.
His Excellency and Lady Dutton were able to be apprised of the major refurbishment works currently been undertaken to the facilities. The therapeutic staff explained the developments in the service and how these have been expanded over the past year to provide greater support to those leaving care and their families within the community.
During their visit Sir James and Lady Dutton had the opportunity to meet the service users currently undergoing treatment, who were able to provide first-hand experience of how the centre is impacting upon their lives.
