Apr 30 - Spring Art Competition Details
The Ministry of Culture wishes to remind local artists that the Spring Art Competition will be held in May as part of the Gibraltar Spring Festival.
The competition is open both to Gibraltarians and residents of Gibraltar aged 16 and over as at 20th May 2014. A maximum of two paintings and two sculptures may be submitted by each artist. Entries will be exhibited at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery, situated at Casemates Square, from the 21st to 30th May 2014.
Prizes to be awarded are:
1st Prize: The Ministry of Culture Prize £2,000
2nd Prize: £1,000
3rd Prize: £750
The Alwani Foundation Award for the Best Gibraltar Theme: £750
The John Mackintosh Hall Trust Award for the Best John Mackintosh Hall Theme: £1,000
All artworks above will become property of the Ministry of Culture.
Entries must be handed in at the Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery (Casemates Square) as from Monday 5th May 2014 between 1pm and 6pm.
