May 30 - World Youth Vigil Of Prayer Tomorrow
The Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Gibraltar (CCR) is inviting the young people across Gibraltar to come together in one “simultaneous gigantic worldwide encounter” tomorrow the 31st May in a World Youth Vigil of Prayer to be held at St Theresa’s Church at 12.30pm.
According to the group, the event is being held for two reasons:
“To be united as Youth in the CCR in the presence of the Lord God; without travelling or registration fee, and to pray simultaneously for all the young people of the world that they will come to meet with Jesus Christ and be baptised in the Holy Spirit.”
The idea is for the world’s CCR youth to be united worldwide at the same time for one hour. In Gibraltar the event will be held at St Theresa’s Church as from 12:30 pm starting with a Eucharistic Celebration.
The idea originated in Bethlehem in a Meeting in November 2013 of the World’s CCR Youth and their Leaders. During the homily in Bethlehem, Emeritus Archbishop Barry Hickey said, “our call is to bring the Youth of the World to Jesus so they can have an intimate relationship with him.”
The Vigil of Prayer is expected to be well supported both in Gibraltar and worldwide. All CCR Youth are invited to attend.
