Jun 02 - Drug Awareness Football Tournament
The Royal Gibraltar Police have this week organised an Interschool 5 -a- side football tournament under the Drug Awareness Banner.
Various games have been played in Hargraves throughout the week by Year 7 students from various Middle Schools, and the final, which took place on Friday 30th May, saw St Anne’s School triumph over the Hebrew School to win the trophy.
A girls’ tournament is to be held today.
Both the SLO’s and the Care Agency have recently been delivering Drug Awareness Talks to all year 7’s in Middle Schools, and this fun annual tournament is organised to continue the message and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The clear and simple message that is sent from the RGP throughout the course of the tournament is that of ‘Live Life, Love Sport!’
