June 09 - Morrisons to Hold Pay and Conditions Negotiations with Unite
Morrisons Supermarket will carry out its annual negotiations with Unite Union regarding pay and conditions, later this week. Following a meeting of a cross representation of the Store membership, a mandate was agreed for a 3% increase.
Christian Duo, Unite the Union’s Acting Regional Officer, praised the level of commitment and hard work put in by the Shop Stewards in the last year. He noted that this was clearly reflected by the significant increase in membership at the store.
He further highlighted the improved Industrial Relations with the Store Management, adding that the revised set up at the store was working very well, with monthly meetings held between Unite and Morrisons.
