Sep 18 - Britain’s Biggest Warship Visits Gibraltar This Weekend
Britain’s biggest warship, the helicopter carrier and assault ship HMS Ocean will visit Gibraltar this weekend to top up on fuel and supplies.
HMS Ocean has emerged from a scheduled period of maintenance, having received a substantial upgrade in capability and is part of the Cougar 14 Task Force.
Cougar 14 is a bespoke four-month deployment, which includes a series of demanding amphibious and maritime-based exercises with partner nations throughout the Mediterranean and Middle East region and ensures that the task group is ready to respond to any contingency the UK Government directs upon it.
