Nov 10 - High Standards Certification for Gibraltar Travel Company
Gibraltar based company Queens Travel has just received recommendation for certification to ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004 & 18001:2007. The certification officially recognises the high standards of Quality, Environment and Health & Safety management that are applied throughout the business.
Queens Travel is the first Tour Operator/Travel Company in Gibraltar to be recognised and recommended for certification to all three standards, and will now be allowed to display the appropriate logos on all their company vehicles.
The process involved in gaining recommendation for certification is complex and requires full participation from all members of staff. An external UK based certification body sent two auditors for three days to the rock to audit all of the company’s management systems, interview staff, witness the service delivery given to the public, undertaking detailed safety inspections of the buses, and of course to sit in on one of Queens Travels Rock Tours.
Commenting on the matter, Terry Westley of IMS UK noted that their time on the rock have been very enjoyable, and every member of Queens Travel should be proud of themselves for contributing towards this recommendation for certification.
Chris InWood, also of IMS UK, the certification body added that Queens Travel ‘pride themselves on delivering excellence in every aspect of the process of undertaking a tour, from the initial enquiry to the tour itself.’
