Dec 19 - Westside Girls on RFA Lyme Bay Visit
A group of students from Westside School visited Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) Lyme Bay yesterday. Gibraltar Defence Police Community Liaison Officer PC Jo Thompson organised the trip to give the students an insight into life on board the Royal Navy vessel.
The students were given a tour of the ship and met with a variety of crew members who explained her operational role.
RFA Lyme Bay is capable of delivering a significant fighting force anywhere in the world; troops together with all the necessary vehicles, stores and ammunition to form the ongoing waves of an amphibious assault.
