Jul 22 - £40million Development At King’s Wharf Given The Go-Ahead By DPC

The green light has been given to a development planning application for a project worth £40million at King’s Wharf to build 200 new apartments and six townhouses at this morning’s DPC meeting.

The residential project will be built between Quays 29 and 31, on the site of the temporary public car park.

The outline planning application was approved unanimously by the committee, for three residential tower blocks of varying heights – starting at 19 storeys, stepping down to 17 storeys and the last will stand at 15 storeys - six townhouses, parking for residents, landscaping and a public promenade on the waterfront.

The project is expected to start early next year.
