Jan 25 - Loreto Teams Win First Place In Badminton Competition
On the 22nd and 23rd of January, the Badminton Association held their annual Inter School Competition at the Tercentenary Hall.
Loreto entered four teams, an A and B team in each of the boys and girls categories. Loreto girls started off the completion well, encouraged by their team captains Ines Bocanegra Hallin and Emily Robinson. With the girls doing extremely well, the scores were added up and both the A and B teams were announced as overall winners.
The following day the boys took to the courts. Charlie Hill and Nicolas Darling lead their teams into their first matches with confidence. After some challenging opposition through the competition it was time for the results: Loreto Convent took first place in both. All the hard work, practicing has truly paid off for their budding Badminton players.
The school has thanked the Badminton Association for organising the competition and supporting the pupils in the development for the sport.
