Apr 11 - Athletes From Gibraltar's Netball Performance Academy To Attend St Andrews Performance Camp

This morning 18 athletes from the Gibraltar's Netball Performance Academy travelled to St Andrews(Scotland) for a Performance Camp at the University of St Andrews.

The athletes will be playing competitive matches against a selection of Scottish teams. This will be supported by their participation in workshops to prepare them to deliver success in forthcoming events like NE U17s. The workshops will be based on S&C, Nutrition, Recovery and Athlete Mind-Set.

The 18 athletes have been allocated into two teams:

Team Gibel - Angelina Linares(VC), Anna Howard, Brianna Prescott, Emma Torres (C), Lucia Olivera, Maria Chumillas, Sophia Purkiss Galán, Sophie Stanley, Stella Stych.

Team Tarik - Alexa Tilbury Chang, Anna Byrne, Anna Hernandez, Ella Milan, Isabella Dowie(C), Jessica Nuttall(VC), Rosie Tunbridge, Mia Camilleri, Searie McGlashan.

A spokesperson said: "We wish to thank our management team for their tireless efforts to drive this programme to ensure there is an increase of better quality athletes progressing into the the Gibraltar Netball Campions Performance Pathway. A special thank you to all sponsors and parents who have supported our athletes towards this trip."
