Oct 02 - GFA Ready for a Busy Season

gfaAs the new football season approaches, the Gibraltar Football Association have announced a selection of friendly matches and competitive fixtures for Gibraltar’s teams. The first of which will take place the Victoria Stadium on 5th March 2014, against the Estonian national team. A further friendly with the team will he held in Tallinn, Estonia on 26th May. A GFA statement today claims that ‘negotiations are also on-going regarding the possibility of two international friendly fixtures in Gibraltar in November 2013 and March 2014 against two fellow UEFA national associations. Further information on this will be issued soon’.

Sep 27 - Table Tennis Session Allocations

news The Gibraltar Table Tennis Association has announced the team’s new allocations for the season. Monday’s session will be held at the Victoria Stadium from 8:30 to 11:30 pm, Tuesday’s sessions will be held at the Victoria Stadium from 6pm to 8pm and Thursday’s sessions will be held at Westside School from 6pm to 8pm.

Sep 27 - YGTV Gibraltar Annual Golf Box Masters

ygtv golfThis November will see Gibraltar’s first ever annual golf tournament, held here, on the Rock. 

YGTV and the Golf Box are calling on all golf players in the area to sign up for the competition. The tournament will be held on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of November. The competition will consist of three rounds of three holes per round.

Sep 26 - Gibraltar’s First Backgammon Festival

linaresThe Minister for Sport and Leisure, Steven Linares, has today announced that, as part of the policy to develop tourism through sports and leisure events, arrangements have been completed for Gibraltar’s first Backgammon Festival.

The event will be held between the 14th and 20th October 2013. On 14th and 15th a local qualifying event will be organised by a group of local backgammon enthusiasts, working to develop backgammon in Gibraltar. The venue selected by them is Latino’s at Casemates.
