Bayside Sports Centre is set to receive a major remodel as part of the Government’s policy to increase facilities. The project will include upgrades to to the main spectator stands and a new adjacent building. The GFA and GSLA have been working closely with UEFA to implement improvements to changing rooms, develop a new media centre and a ‘doping control station.
Retired England striker and BBC football pundit Gary Lineker has described small European national teams like Gibraltar and San Marino as being “not much more than pub teams.”
The Gibraltar Thundercat team attended the Newquay King of the Surf event with memories of last year and their very first event in U.K. waters. Round 11 on Saturday had the very little surf and this made it difficult for the team, with their less powerful engine but confidence grew with a few good results, a 2nd & 3rd in the first couple of heats.
Tickets for the Gibraltar National football team’s second Home Game of the European Qualifiers ,Gibraltar V Georgia, go on sale tomorrow evening at the GFA’s Ticket Office in the John Mackintosh Hall.
Tickets are priced at €30 (£26) or €25 (£22) and the ticket office will be open between 5pm and 8pm on weekdays up until the 13th October 2014.
With it being held in Gibraltar, the 2015 IDO European Show Dance Championships will be organized jointly between the GNDO and Santos Productions. Both entities will be responsible for the production, marketing and staging of the event. Gibmedia will also join the organising team with Jordan Lopez responsible for all technical aspects of the competition.
