Mar 19 - Runway Paint Works Continue This Weekend
Paint works will continue this weekend to update the road markings across the RAF airfield runway on Winston Churchill Avenue.
British Forces Gibraltar contractors will carry out the upgrading works overnight on both Friday and Saturday to keep the traffic and airfield disruption to a minimum.
Weather permitting, contractors will start the line markings at 2200 on Friday 21st March and will work until 0500 on Saturday morning. They will continue the task on Saturday 22nd March at 2200 until Sunday 23rd March at 0500.
In the interest of safety the public are advised that during these times the traffic will be diverted to one lane Northbound and one lane Southbound. The MOD apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
