Nov 25 – GSD Says Financial Status Of Eastside Blue Water Development “Is Of Public Interest”
The GSD has said that it is a matter of public interest that although five months have passed since the public joint announcement of the Blue Water development, no money has yet been paid. The GSD has replied to today’s comments from Mr Holliday (as Managing Director of Worth Consulting Limited) and Camoren Holdings as follows:
GSD Election Candidate Roy Clinton said:
“I would remind Mr Holliday and Camoren Holdings that the GSD welcomed the announcement of the Blue Water project in June 2015. It was the Hon. Joe Bossano on last week’s GBC Money debate who stated that the GBP 83 million premium had not yet been paid. If Mr Holliday and Camoren Holdings have an issue they should raise it with the Hon. Joe Bossano who as Minister of Inward Investment also revealed he has two other interested developers to step in if the money is not forthcoming. This matter is of both public and political interest as Mr Holliday would fully appreciate as a former Government Minister. It is of political interest as the money is needed to assist public finances and also the general public has an interest in the matter of affordable housing. The GSD will always act in the interests of Gibraltar as a whole.”
