Nov 26 - The Governor Visits Polling Stations On Election Day
Her Excellency the Governor Alison MacMillan was accompanied by Returning Officer Paul Martinez.
At the Line Wall Road polling station earlier today, Mrs MacMillan was introduced to staff and shown the voting process in Gibraltar. Mr Martinez even shows the electronic register of voters available on a tablet computer.
Mrs MacMillan said she will be visiting seven polling station and it's a wonderful day to be out and about.
She added: "Clearly, managing an election process like this takes a lot of preparation and a lot of hard work, and I'm going to have the opportunity tonight to meet some of those involved in the preparation stages, and thank them personally.
"But I just wanted to come out this afternoon just to see how the advanced preparations have been paying off.
"Numbers seem to have been right at this point in the day, so clearly people have been heeding to the message of the Returning Officer to vote early in the day to avoid queues later in the day."
