Sep 19 - GHA Says It Has Achieved “Positive Solution” To Contract Workers Problem
19 September 2014
The GHA has announced that, after months of discussions and negotiations between itself, Unite the Union and the Government, it has finally reached a “positive solution” to the ongoing issue affecting a small number of contract workers in the GHA.
A statement from the GHA says: “We have carried out an extensive data collection exercise on training and succession planning and have been able to identify areas where the GHA are now in a position to offer, with immediate effect, indefinite contracts to all those where no one is currently training, and where staff are eligible having completed four years’ service, irrespective of short-term breaks.”
