Jun 09 - Bryan Ferry, The Vamps, Nathan Sykes And Toploader Added To GMF Line Up

Bryan Ferry, The Vamps, Nathan Sykes and Toploader have all been added to the already impressive lineup for this year's Gibraltar Music Festival, which includes Stereophonics, Jess Glynne, All Saints, KT Tunstall, Foxes and more.

The festival's five-year history boasts previous acts like Duran Duran, Kings Of Leon and Kaiser Chiefs and this year is set to be no different with a wealth of global acts. Set in the Victoria Stadium, the festival will see new stages added this year - a comedy stage, an acoustic stage and a dance stage - making Gibraltar Music Festival one of the most diverse family friendly festivals in Europe.

Taking place Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th September against the stunning backdrop of the Rock, tickets start at £89 with free tickets for children under 12. Further info: www.gibraltarmusicfestival.com.

With three number one albums and ten top ten singles, Bryan Ferry will be headlining the Gibtelecom Stage on the Sunday. He came rose to global prominence as the lead singer of Roxy Music whose top hits include the singles Virginia Plain, Street Life and Love is a Drug before moving on to a celebrated solo career from 1973 to date.

Bryan Ferry remains as regal as ever, his unique voice and delivery still setting him apart. An enigma of pop, he is sure to get knees trembling.

Also joining the bill at Gibraltar Music Festival will be the British pop band The Vamps who shot to fame after growing a mass following on YouTube and now have three top ten singles in the UK under their belt.

If the pop-rock group’s recent headline tour is anything to go by, expect lots of stage antics and lots and lots of deafening screams.

Pop star Nathan Sykes adds to the talent hailing from the UK. Having broken away from The Wanted to forge his own solo career, Sykes has gone on to release three successful singles including a collaboration with pop sensation Ariana Grande.

British alternative rock band Toploader became a household name with their original take of King Harvests Dancing in the Moonlight which propelled them on to every radio station in the country (and much of the world) in 2000. The four-time Brit Award nominees who have sold over two million albums will be sure to appeal to all ages with their crowd pleasing live performance, complete with brand new material.

The Gibraltar Music Festival prides itself on introducing new artists to its fans, as well as giving unsigned musicians a chance to show off their songs to and connect with a large audience. The energetic Adrian Pissrello and his band The Undesirables 141 are now confirmed for September, as are Soulmates and Jetstream. Tim Whelan, Afriquoi, Jamie Renton, D.WattsRiot and Dubulah will be performing at the debut Seaside Dub Club. The growing cast of artists playing the festival now also includes Ominibus and youngster Ethan Rocca.

With even more exciting acts to be announced along with the programme for the two new stages this year including a full dance stage, an acoustic stage and a comedy stage, 2016 will see Gibraltar Music Festival expand to its biggest yet to celebrate it's fifth anniversary. The next artist announcement will be next Thursday 16th and will include the Saturday night Main Stage headliner.
