£10,800 Donated To Local Charities From Gibraltar Fair Funds
A total of £10,800 was also donated to local charities and volunteer groups involved in the National Celebrations, with funds raised during the Gibraltar Fair.
Gibraltar Cultural Services has also announced the winners of its National Day Poster and Essay Competitions, organised in collaboration with the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group.

Organised in collaboration with the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group, Gibraltar Cultural Services launched a Poster Competition to discover a fresh and innovative design that could once again be used to promote the National Day programme of events. Alongside this initiative, an Essay Competition was also launched, inviting students to explore and articulate the significance of Gibraltar’s right to self-determination. A thank you to Fortress Attractions for sponsoring the Essay Competition.
An awards presentation for both competitions was held today at the Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery where the following awards were presented.
Poster Competition
Winner: Sienna-Mae Harper (11 years old)
Essay Competition
1st Prize: Haylee Pincho (18+ years old)
2nd Prize: Alexandra Attias (18+ years old)
The Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, The Hon Christian Santos GMD MP and Forty Azzopardi of the Self Determination for Gibraltar Group presented cheques amounting to £10,800 to local charities and volunteer groups involved in the National Celebrations, with funds raised during the Gibraltar Fair.
