Gibraltarian Writer M. G. Sanchez Lectures Students at the University of Cambridge

Gibraltarian writer M. G. Sanchez recently gave a talk entitled ‘Language, Identity and Stories’ at the University of Cambridge. Held at Clare College on the 13th April, his talk was attended by over 90 doctoral students from the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and the Open University.  During his one-hour-long presentation, Dr Sanchez talked about Llanito, Gibraltarian identity and his books, paying particular attention to Lowlife Tales, his latest publication which was recently published in both English and English with Llanito dialogue versions. 

In a separate development, an essay entitled  ‘Border Imagery in M. G. Sanchez's Literary Cartography of Gibraltar’ has just been published in Spatiality in Contemporary Anglophone Literatures, a new book published by the well-known academic publisher Routledge. The essay was written by the Serbian scholar Tijana Parezanović.
