OTWO Sustainable Transport Campaign Continues With Business Support

OTWO’s Sustainable Transport Campaign is continuing in 2026, with three buses carrying messages promoting sustainable transport, environmental awareness and wellbeing.
A statement from OWTO follows below:
OTWO’s Sustainable Transport Campaign is continuing its journey in 2026, building on an initiative that has been running since 2022 and highlighting the important role that Gibraltar’s business community plays in supporting a healthier, more sustainable future.
What began in 2022 with two campaign buses has grown over the years, with three buses running each year since 2023. The buses have become a visible part of Gibraltar’s streets, carrying messages designed to encourage people to think differently about how we travel, how we live and how our everyday choices affect both our wellbeing and the environment.
The campaign reflects OTWO’s belief that sustainability is not only about protecting the planet, but also about creating a healthier and better quality of life for the people who live and work in Gibraltar.
A key part of the campaign’s success has been the continued support of Gibraltar’s business community.
Every year, businesses and organisations from across different sectors come together to support the campaign, helping OTWO bring its messages of sustainable transport, environmental responsibility and wellbeing into the public space.
This support demonstrates the important role that businesses can play in creating positive change within the community. By supporting initiatives that encourage healthier lifestyles, active travel and environmental awareness, businesses are helping to reinforce the idea that wellbeing is a shared responsibility.
OTWO would like to thank all the companies and organisaNons that have supported the Sustainable Transport Campaign over the years. We are parNcularly grateful to this year’s supporters, whose involvement conNnues to help the campaign grow and raise awareness of the importance of making more sustainable choices.

Gibraltar is uniquely placed to embrace sustainable transport. With its compact size and relatively short distances, walking, cycling and public transport can all play a greater role in how people move around the community. Choosing to walk or cycle more can support physical wellbeing, while reducing unnecessary car journeys can help lower emissions and congestion. These individual choices, when made collectively, can contribute to a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Gibraltar. The campaign therefore looks beyond transport alone. It is about encouraging a broader conversation around the kind of environment and community we want to create for the future.
Vanessa Byrne, Director of OTWO, said: “This campaign has been growing since 2022, and every year we are reminded of the importance of working together. The continued support from Gibraltar’s business community shows that businesses recognise their role in creating a healthier, more sustainable place to live and work.
Our environment and our wellbeing are closely connected. The choices we make about how we move around Gibraltar can have an impact on both. We want to continue encouraging people to move more, consider sustainable alternatives and think about the Gibraltar we want to leave for future generations.”
OTWO’s Sustainable Transport Campaign is ultimately a reminder that creating a better world starts with the choices we make every day.
With the continued support of Gibraltar’s businesses, organisations and wider community, OTWO hopes to keep building momentum towards a Gibraltar where sustainable transport, environmental responsibility and personal wellbeing are part of everyday life.
