Westview Park Play Areas Relocated During Reclamation Works

Two of Westview Park’s four play areas are being relocated further south within the park as part of the ongoing reclamation works.
The two play areas and adult exercise equipment are being moved closer to the main entrance, alongside the two play areas that remain in place. The works are expected to take around three weeks, while the rest of the park remains open to the public.
A statement from the Government follows below:
HM Government of Gibraltar wishes to inform the public of changes taking place at Westview Park as a result of the reclamation project.
The northern end of the park has been released to the reclamation contractor as a works area. Two of the park's four play areas were within this section and have been dismantled. They are now being reinstalled further south, next to the main entrance of the park and alongside the two remaining play areas, which are not affected. The adult exercise equipment is also being moved to a new position further south within the park.
The works are under way and will take around three weeks to complete. Once they are finished, the park will have the same four play areas as before, all grouped together.
In the meantime, the two remaining play areas and the rest of the park south of the contractor's area remain open.
The rest of Westview Park will remain available for use throughout the reclamation project, and a new, larger park will be built on the reclaimed land.
