Convent Christmas Fair Returns On 26th November
The annual Convent Christmas Fair will take place on Thursday 26th November, from 12pm to 5.30pm, with doors closing at 5pm.
A statement from the Convent follows below:
The Convent is pleased to announce that the annual Convent Christmas Fair will take place on Thursday, 26th November 2026 from 12:00 to 17:30 (doors will close at 17:00). This traditional seasonal event will be held in The Convent and is open to the public.
An entry fee of £2 will be charged, with free admission for children under 12. The admission fee and all other proceeds from the Fair will be donated to support local charities, including:
• Friends of Mount Alvernia
• Women in Need
• Scouts Association
To ensure inclusivity, wheelchair access will be available for attendees requiring assistance but must be pre-arranged with the Office of the Governor. Please contact us at enquiry.gibraltar@fcdo.gov.uk.
Visitors can look forward to a festive afternoon featuring a wide variety of stalls offering hair braiding, homemade goods, and Christmas gifts.
A café will be serving hot and cold beverages, cakes, and other seasonal treats prepared by the Convent’s chef. The Red Cross will also be selling mulled wine and mince pies.
Father Christmas will make a special appearance at 14:00, accompanied by some of his helpers, before moving on to complete his many other tasks. At 16:00, children from Bishop Fitzgerald School will sing a selection of Christmas carols.
Two exciting raffles will be held during the fair. The first raffle features a brand-new red Honda SH Mode 125 motorcycle, worth £2995, generously donated by Bassadone Motors. Tickets for this raffle will be sold at Morrisons on the 7th November and Convent Place on the 19th November, and the winner will be drawn in December. The second raffle features a selection of hampers with wonderful goods provided by a wide selection of companies in Gibraltar. Tickets for this raffle will be on sale on the day, and the draw will take place at 16:45 in the Convent Ballroom. All raffle tickets are priced at £2 each.
In addition, a hospitality package for two people to attend any non-UK UEFA Champions League fixture between 19 January 2026 and 5 May 2026 (up to and including the Semi Finals), kindly donated by an anonymous donor, will be auctioned via silent bids. Please note that transport and accommodation are not included and will be the responsibility of the successful bidder. Bids may be submitted:
• By email to ConventRSVP@fcdo.gov.uk
• In person via sealed envelope, addressed to Jodie Chambers at the Convent reception
• On-site during the Fair via the auction box
We warmly invite the community to join us in celebrating the run up to Christmas and in doing so, to supporting three important Gibraltar charities.
