Man Charged With Theft And Going Equipped For Theft

A 33 year old Spanish national appeared before the Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was charged with one count of Theft and one count of Going Equipped for Theft.  

A statement from the RGP follows below:

33 year old Spanish national Antoñio LARA GUERRERO appeared before the  Magistrates’ Court earlier today, charged with one count of Theft and one count of  Going Equipped for Theft.  

The charges followed his arrest in the early hours of this morning, after a security  officer in the area of Ocean Village observed him attempting to steal a bicycle.  

Response Team officers attended the area and arrested LARA GUERRERO, who was  found in possession of tools for use in the commission of theft. He was also arrested  in connection with a separate theft that had taken place on the 17th July 2026.  

Following his appearance in court today, LARA GUERRERO was remanded in  custody at HM Prison Windmill Hill.
