Minister For Business And OFT Publishes Annual Report 2025 - 2026

The Ministry for Business has published the Business and Office of Fair Trading Annual Report for 2025–2026

A statement from the Government follows below:

The report outlines the work undertaken in business registration and licensing, consumer protection, and enforcement, with 1,112 new business licence related applications processed, 308 consumer complaints handled, and enforcement continuing to target unlicensed and unregistered business as well as anti-money laundering (AML) compliance in the real estate sector. The year also saw record numbers of active business registrations, reaching 4,469. 

CEO of Business and the OFT, John Paul Fa, said:  

"This report reflects a year in which we delivered on our core functions while also broadening our remit and strengthening our engagement with the business community both locally and internationally." 

In presenting the report, the Hon Gemma Arias-Vasquez, Minister for Health, Care and Business, said:  

"This year's report reflects a period of delivery, preparation and opportunity for Gibraltar's business community. The continued modernisation of our licensing and registration services is about making Gibraltar an easier place to do business, while ensuring that those who trade here do so properly, fairly and on a level playing field."
