Obituary: Francis Martin

El Martillo and the Tapiero family are deeply saddened by the passing of Francis Martin, a much-loved and respected figure in Gibraltar.

Francis dedicated many years of his life to public service, serving as Chief Environmental Health Officer and making a lasting contribution to Gibraltar through his work within the Environmental Agency.

Beyond his professional life, Francis will be remembered as a great colleague, a great friend and a great fisherman. His love of the sea and fishing was a defining part of his life, and he remained closely connected to Gibraltar’s fishing community.

Those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside Francis will remember him for his friendship, his character and the respect he showed to those around him.
