Two GDP Officers Confirmed As Police Constables

PC Kyle Davis and PC Ethan Davis have been officially confirmed in the rank of Police Constable after completing their two-year probationary period with the Gibraltar Defence Police.

On Thursday 20 August 2026, PC Kyle Davis and PC Ethan Davis from the Gibraltar  Defence Police (GDP) were officially confirmed in the rank of Police Constable following the  successful completion of their two-year probationary period. The officers were presented  with certificates by Chief of Police, Chief Superintendent, John McVea in recognition of this  important milestone. 

During the confirmation ceremony, Chief Superintendent McVea reflected on their journey  within the Gibraltar Defence Police (GDP) and emphasised the importance of upholding the  force’s core values. “I encourage you both to continue embodying our force values at the  heart of your decision-making and conduct. Your dedication and professionalism over the  past two years have been exemplary,” said Chief McVea. 

Chief Superintendent McVea concluded, “I wish them both every success in their continued  service and look forward to seeing their ongoing contributions to the safety and wellbeing of  our community.”
