Jun 06 - Clinton Proposes Creation Of Select Committee To Examine Midtown Car Park Issue
The GSD’s Roy Clinton will move a private members' motion to set up a new Select Committee to report on the “method of design, construction and financing together with the method of sale, pricing and allocation of spaces in the Midtown Car Park.”
Mr Clinton has given notice today that he proposes to move the motion at the next sitting of Parliament. The motion reads:
“THIS HOUSE:
RESOLVES that a new Select Committee called the Select Committee on the Midtown Car Park be formed, the terms of reference being to:
Report on the method of design, construction and financing together with the method of sale, pricing and allocation of spaces in the Midtown Car Park together with any recommendations arising.
AND THEREFORE HEREBY RESOLVES to establish a Select Committee which shall be known as the Select Committee on the Mid Town Car Park which shall consist of three Members nominated by the Leader of the Opposition and two Members nominated by the Chief Minister.”
