Sep 11 - Minister Holds Breakfast Meeting During London International Shipping Week
Minister for Shipping, Albert Isola MP this week hosted an invitation-only working breakfast at Gibraltar House in London which was organised to coincide with London International Shipping Week 2015.
The breakfast meeting was attended by industry leaders in the bunkering world as well as by Jens Maul Jorgensen the Chairman of IBIA and Doug Barrow the Chief Executive of Maritime London.
The Minister took the opportunity to update those present on the ongoing work to make Gibraltar an attractive and competitive port for business and to thank them for their business. Commodore Bob Sanguinetti, Captain of the Port reaffirmed the GPA’s determination to facilitate increasing volumes and business for Gibraltar Port and hinted at some of these initiatives.
Minister Isola commented “it is hugely helpful to have face to face and open communication with our major suppliers and to work through directly with them how we can improve the Gibraltar proposition, for the benefit of all those who work with and service clients of the Port.”
