Jun 27 - Limited Edition Queen’s 90th Birthday Coin Issued
A new limited edition gold coin struck in 22 carat fine gold to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday has been issued.
This year, on 21st April, HM Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 90th birthday. Strictly limited to just 90 pieces worldwide, demand is expected to be high once again.
The issuers say that the quality of the gold combined with its limited worldwide mintage, its historic anniversary and its gold content with value on the increase will make this one of the most magnificent HM QEII coins available in the market. The coins are priced at £1,895 and are sold inside a secure capsule within a presentation box that includes a certificate of authenticity with the edition limit.
In keeping with the traditions of sovereign coins since 1489, the obverse design includes Latin inscription and sizes. The Sovereign coin design does not include a denominational value as each coin is determined by its diameter.
The obverse design depicts the famous HM Queen’s Effigy. The reverse design depicts a recent image of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, with text surrounding the coin stating her title and the commemorative event: Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday.
The coins are now available for purchase and collection on a first come first serve basis from the Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau.
