As the first official Pride event on 12th July approaches, Unite the Union says that it expresses its support for the event.
A statement from the union says: “Pride 2014, an initiative of Equality Rights Group and supported by the Government of Gibraltar, is a welcome act of community-wide solidarity, bringing together people from across all our society in a festive act of celebration of diversity. This Union can only encourage bringing all together in this positive and enjoyable way to add our voice to the event.
“Unite will be there in the Parade alongside all the different individuals and organisations who are taking part, on 12th July this year and in successive years as we deliver on our commitment to solidarity in our community.”
