Sep 22 – Argus Insurance Sponsors Bayside Basketball
Argus Insurance Company (Europe) Limited have announced that they have teamed up with Bayside Comprehensive School for the second year running. Having sponsored the Youth Team for the 2014/2015 season, they have extended their sponsorship and will be the main sponsor of both the Bayside Youth and Senior Basketball Teams for the 2015/2016 season.
As a Gibraltar-based company, serving the needs of the local community, Argus Insurance say they are proud to be able to support sporting activities on the Rock.
Last year, after an absence of more than 10 years, it was decided to start to promote youth basketball leagues in Gibraltar. Bayside Comprehensive School, in partnership with the Gibraltar Amateur Basketball Association, organised a fully competitive league and cup competition for both U14s and U18. This year this has been extended to 3 leagues that now also include an U16s league.
Tyrone Montovio, Argus Insurance General Manager, said “At Argus we are extremely proud to share our success with the local community in whatever way we can and supporting the development of our youth through sports is a great way to do so.”
