Dec 05 - Gibraltar FA Announces Partnership With Kit Supplier LEGEA

The Gibraltar Football Association has announced a new, multi-year partnership with Italian Sportswear manufacturer LEGEA. The new partnership will see Legea become the GFA’s official Kit Supplier and Technical Sponsor with immediate effect.

Legea will produce kits for all of Gibraltar’s National Teams as well as a full range of technical sportswear for all Gibraltar supporters to enjoy.

GFA General Secretary, Dennis Beiso stated:

"I am delighted that we have been able to secure a great deal with Legea, one of Italy's leading sportswear providers. Legea are already extensively involved in kit deals at club level in Europe and Asia as well as at national team level with the Montenegro FA. The deal represents good value for the Gibraltar FA and ensures that the Gibraltar national team will be kitted out professionally with a new 'look' for the UEFA Nations League and for the European Qualifiers for Euro 2020. All other Gibraltar national teams will also benefit from this deal, as it covers all our kit requirements right across the board.

“In tandem with the recent opening of our new official store, the deal with Legea represents another step in the right direction for the GFA in its commercial and business activities. There are more exciting developments in the pipeline in terms of delivery of our goals within our business development strategy and we shall be rolling these out and making them public in due course.

“To mark this new partnership with Legea, the GFA will be releasing a commemorative national team shirt before Christmas this year. The new shirt will be worn by the National “A” Team and the National U21 Team during the upcoming “Week of Football” in March 2018, when the National Team will be playing Latvia in an international friendly at the Victoria Stadium (on the 25th March). The shirt will also be worn by the U21 Team in the two qualifiers versus Serbia (on the 23rd March) and Russia (on the 27th March) which will also be played at the Victoria Stadium. New home and away kits will be released before the start of the UEFA Nations League in September 2018.

“The commemorative shirt will be available in limited numbers for members of the public to buy as from Friday 8th December. The shirt will be sold in a special edition box complete with individual certificates of authenticity and can now be pre-ordered from the GFA’s Official Store at 62-64 Irish Town."
