Last Friday 13 Teams / 26 Players competed in the League Pairs Tournament at the George Federico Hall hosted by the GDA.

 

A statement from the GDA follows below:

 

After the quarter finals had been played the Pairs were decided for the semi finals. The first semi final match was the team of Dylan Duo and Justin Hewitt (who recently won the Carmelo Ellul Trophy) both of whom play for College 501. Their opponents, Nico Bado and Ethan Pulham both of whom recently represented Gibraltar in the WDF World cup In Slovakia and play for St Theresa’s B & UB. After a well fought semi final the team of Nico Bado and Ethan Pulham made it to the finals by beating Dylan Duo and Justin Hewitt 3-2.

 

The second Semi final match was a father and son team of David and Kale Francis both of whom play for the Varyl Begg Warriors against the Warriors of Charlie’s pair, Davey Monsees and Richard Wakefield. The match finished 3-0 for the Warriors of Charlie’s pair making the GDA Pairs Tournament finalists Nico Bado and Ethan Pulham Vs Davey Monsees and Richard Wakefield.

 

The final was set and the battle of the pairs began and after 3 legs that were only decided on the finishing of the doubles the team of Nico Bado and Ethan Pulham were the winners, winning 3-0 against Davey Monsees and Richard Wakefield.
