20 May 2025
Pickleball Taster Session for Seniors

Thursday 22nd May 11:30am to 1:30pm

The Gibraltar Sports & Leisure Authority (GSLA) are working with the newly formed Gibraltar Pickleball Association and the Physical Activities Association for Mature Older Adults (PAAMOA) to offer all seniors over the age of 55 the opportunity to try out the fantastic developing sport of Pickleball, a racket sport that offers all ages the opportunity to play, compete, have fun and keep physically active. Gibraltar Pickleball Association players will be on hand to share tips and rules of the game.

The Pickleball Taster session will take place on Thursday 22nd May at the Bayside Sports Complex MUGA (Multi-use games area) between 11.30am and 1.30pm as part of the GSLA Seniors Recreation Morning that has been taking place for several years.

The Seniors Recreation Morning also offers the opportunity to play table tennis and carpet bowls at 11:30am. It also offers Walking Cardio Exercise classes from 9:15am to 10:00am for 55 to 67 year olds and a slightly more sedate Cardio and Chair Exercise class for adults over the age of 68 years from 10:15am to 11:00am.

All seniors are welcome to join. Information on the many specialist sport and exercise opportunities that are on offer for seniors in Gibraltar from Sports Associations and PAAMOA will be available at the event.

There is no need to book, just come along to the Bayside Sports Centre, MUGA on Thursday 22nd May and meet some of those involved in developing activities for seniors in Gibraltar. All activities are free of charge.
