Jul 21 - Team Gibraltar Arrive In Scotland For Commonwealth Games
Gibraltar's team for the 20th edition of the Commonwealth Games continued to arrive in Glasgow during the weekend.
Saturday saw the main bulk of the party arrive after a day of travelling from The Rock via London, Heathrow.
Among the arrivals were The Rifle Shooters, Squash Team, Swimmers, Athletes, Cyclists and Team Officials.
Gibraltar General Secretary Harry Murphy led the delegation and was glad to be on the ground and ready to go to make these Games another success for Team Gibraltar. He said: "A lot of hard work and effort has gone into the games by both athletes and officials with this travelling party being the largest to represent Gibraltar this global event which in size is seconds only to the Olympics".

The Team were greeted on arrival by bag pipes and traditional Scottish dances, giving all a chance to sample the culture of the host city and country.
With such a late arrival for the team there was little time to sample and explore the village.
The team were up early on Sunday with team managers heading to the sports office to book training and transport, while the athletes began to prepare for the competition.
In the afternoon the Gibraltar contingent was officially welcomed to the Games with the flag raising ceremony in the international zone.
Team Gibraltar's competitive action begins on Thursday with the Opening Ceremony taking place the night before at Celtic Park.
