Nov 25 - Gibraltar Police Representatives Attend UFPOL Conference In Spain
Representatives from both the Royal Gibraltar Police Association and the Gibraltar Defence Police Federation recently attended the Union Federal de Policia (UFPOL) Conference in Benidorm, Spain.
Officials from both representative bodies wish to publicly acknowledge and thank the General Secretary of UFPOL Mr. Víctor Manuel Duque León and all the UFPOL delegates at the Conference for the warm hospitality received. The Chairman of the RGP Association, Mr. Henry Bautista, was able to address the Conference on two separate occasions on behalf of the Gibraltar Police representative delegation. The speeches emphasized the need to continue the process of dialogue, to build on relationships of understanding and trust and to encourage co-operation between the Gibraltar and Spanish Police authorities. This is a continuation of the work that was commenced by EuroCOP President Anna Nellberg in October 2014 which saw the UFPOL General Secretary visit Gibraltar to meet with the Gibraltar Police Representative bodies.
