Gabriel Moreno Releases New Single ‘Carousel of Love’
‘Carousel of Love’, the title song of the forthcoming eighth studio album by Gibraltarian poet and singer-songwriter Gabriel Moreno, has been released as a single.
The track is a celebration of romance, bonds of affection, domestic warmth, sexual exchanges, togetherness and community. Gabriel says it was conceived as an “antidote to the barrage of violence, hate, disconnection, conflict and petty bullying projected on TV and social media during the last years.”
The singer says ‘Carousel of Love’ is a proto-romantic musical act of resistance against the perpetuation of war.
All songs in the new album will be written in Open G tuning (which, Gabriel says, is “obviously the tuning of love”) and will include collaborations and producers from all over the UK.
‘Carousel of Love’ was produced by Flynn Hutson Dean in his basement studio in Netheredge, Sheffield as part of a residency in the legendary Cafe9. Strings were recorded in St.Leonards by Richard Moore and bass by Lee Childs. The song was mastered in Zaragoza, Spain, to complete the cosmopolitan sound. Moreno is setting off an album tour in 2027 to promote the new record.
