Gibraltar Defence Police Welcomes New Dog Handler

PC Liam Crisp has joined the Gibraltar Defence Police Dog Section as a licensed dog handler after completing his training and licensing requirements. He will begin operational duties alongside his dog, Sting.
A statement from the GDP follows below:
We are pleased to announce that PC 112 Liam Crisp has officially joined the Gibraltar Defence Police (GDP) Dog Section as a licensed dog handler.
To support this achievement, we invited Sgt Paul Foster, a police officer from Surrey Police, to Gibraltar to provide the necessary licensing for PC Crisp to join the GDP Dog Section.
Although the course took longer than initially anticipated due to operational demands and weather conditions, PC Crisp has successfully completed all requirements and, as of 22 October 2026, has become a valued member of the Dog Section team.
The GDP extends its heartfelt congratulations to PC Crisp on this significant accomplishment. His dedication and perseverance have been key to reaching this milestone, which also reflects positively on the entire Dog Section and Dog Instructor PC Johnson.
PC Crisp will soon begin operational duties alongside his dog, Sting, further strengthening our capabilities in supporting the community.
Please join us in welcoming PC Crisp to the team and wishing him every success in his new role.
