Apr 07 - Gibraltar’s 2014 Fringe Festival Line Up Announced
Gibraltar’s inaugural Fringe Festival proved a welcome addition to Gibraltar’s active Spring/ Summer events line up last year. This year’s event is set for May and promises to be equally enthralling with cabaret performances by Tricity Vogue dubbed ‘The Blue Lady Sings’. The character draws inspiration from Vladimir Tretchikoff’s painting, which was auctioned at Bonhams Auction House in London. The performance will be held on Thursday 15th May 2014. Tickets are priced at £7 and can be purchased from www.gibfringe.com.
Other features of the Festival, to once again be held in the Alameda Outdoor Theatre, will include local musician Keith Vinnicombe, Gareth Owen and Band, Irish singer/songwriter Paddy Taylor, Australian caustic band ‘The Dopes’, The Naughton Sisters and a Johnny Cash and June Carter Tribute.
Finally, Sunday 18th May will see the family performance of the Blue Planet, a dance show using different elements to involve the audience. Organisers of the Festival have noted that it will be very musically orientated this year.
