Oct 27 - Jazz Festival Comes to a Close
Friday evening played host to the second evening of performances as part of the Gibraltar International Jazz Festival, with local acts Levanter Breeze and The Soul Mates stunning the Queen’s Cinema’s audience.
Levanter Breeze afforded the audience a sneak preview of some tracks to appear on their next album, as well as playing a set of jazz-fusion tracks. The Soul Mates performed a repertoire of classic hits from a spectrum of musical genres including Soul, Pop, Rock and Reggae.
Saturday evening saw the Jazz Festival move into its final evening, with a performance by the Massias/ Galiardo Collective and Fillet-o-Soul featuring Madeleine Bell, Omar and Mica Paris.
During the second half Chris Storr and Fayyaz Virji took the stage and brought the event to an energetic close with the audience dancing down the aisles of the Queen’s Cinema. The official after party was then hosted at the Rock Hotel’s Khaima.
