Yesterday evening the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo officially opened the Ocean Views Facility before a host of guests. Unveiling a plaque at the entrance, Mr. Picardo, flanked by Social Services Minister Samantha Sacramento and Health Minister Dr. Cortes revealed that this was not only a building, but a new approach to mental health, including the introduction of new, updated legislation that address a lot of the shortcomings of the current legislation. 

He added that a new framework must be put in place to allow for the facility to operate, and to allow for the people who have been providing the soul of the care provided, the instruments they need both legally and physically. He added that this was the most memorable of all the Government policies carried out in their tenure in office.
