The Government’s retaliation to the contract award for new buses to Bassadone Motors has caught them out, claims the Opposition. The party believes that the Administration ‘is embarrassed about the lack of commercial reasons to justify the allocation of the new buses contract to Bassadone Motors’.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, has told a group of 150 politicians, diplomats and businessmen that Gibraltar represents an unmissable economic opportunity for Spain and the Campo area.
The latest statement by the Opposition on the new buses is "complete nonsense and full of contradictions", according to Number Six.
The GSD has today claimed that ‘the Government's reply to Opposition questions asked as well as concerns raised in relation to the buses is nothing but a bare-faced refusal to be held accountable by the electorate.’
The party claims that the in its reply the administration ‘refused to provide any reassurance that any measures have been taken to ensure it is safe for the new buses to drive along certain parts of Europa Road.’
