Sep 04 - Radio Gibraltar To Launch 'Radio Gibraltar Plus' This National Day
As part of Radio Gibraltar's 60th Anniversary year, they will be providing a greater choice of programmes starting Monday 10th September.
They will be introducing a new alternative overnight non-stop music service from 8pm on Radio Gibraltar Plus, featuring soft rock, soul and love songs. Listeners will have the choice of the "Latest Hits" on 91.3FM and 92.6FM or the new "softer" mix on 100.5FM and 1458AM. Both services are also available on DAB+, online at gbc.gi, and on the Radio Gibraltar app.
A spokesperson for Radio Gibraltar said: "Radio Gibraltar Plus is also becoming the home for the station’s specialist shows every weeknight at 7pm. George Du Boulay plays the finest album tracks on ‘The Album Show’ on Mondays, Richard Cartwright goes back to the 60s and 70s on Tuesdays in ‘Yesterday When I Was Young’, Alice Mascarenhas brings you the best of the musicals in ‘Centre Stage’ on Wednesdays, on Thursdays James Culatto shines a spotlight on local talent in ‘Made in Gibraltar’, and Chris Stevens returns with the latest and greatest from Nashville in ‘Chris Country’ on Friday nights.
"The move of the specialist shows, makes way for Robin Sheppard-Capurro to double the duration of his evening show on Radio Gibraltar to two hours from 6pm, including a fantastic music mix, as well as a raft of new features. Gary King, who has been a feature of Sunday afternoons for over ten years with ‘Totally 80s’, now also presents his new show ‘Totally 90s’ on Saturdays at 2pm from 15th September. On weekend evenings at 7pm, Glenn Thompson will ease listeners into their overnight choice of Latest Hits or Smooth Songs from 8pm. Celebrate your local station’s Diamond Anniversary year with a greater choice on Radio Gibraltar and Radio Gibraltar Plus as from National Day."
