£64k Refuse Collection Manager Vacancy “Issued In Error”
17 July 2019

The Government says that a vacancy for Refuse Collection Manager published yesterday was “issued in error.”
The Official Notice attracted substantial comment on social media yesterday with many complaining that the advertised salary of £64,518 per annum was “unjustified” and “disproportionate.”
The Government has today issued the following notice: “The Chief Secretary regrets that the vacancy for refuse collection manager was issued in error.
“A thorough review of the job description and specification for this position will be conducted and a new notice will be issued accordingly.
“The Government apologises to interested parties and prospective applicants for any inconvenience caused.”
