Gibraltar Continues Work In Morocco During Rabat Visit

Minister John Cortes recently met with the Moroccan Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and held discussions with its Secretary General Bouzekri Razi and the Director of Cooperation, Partnership and Communication Rachid Firadi. Another meeting was held at the offices of the British Council in Rabat, hosted by Country Director for Morocco, Alexandra Balafrej.
A statement from the Government follows below:
Work on developing relations with Morocco continues apace, with further meetings held in Rabat during the visit there earlier this month by Minister John Cortes.
The Minister called upon the Moroccan Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development and held discussions with its Secretary General Bouzekri Razi and the Director of Cooperation, Partnership and Communication Rachid Firadi. Matters discussed included compliance with international environmental conventions and energy transition, and possible ways of future cooperation.
Another meeting was held at the offices of the British Council in Rabat, hosted by Country Director for Morocco, Alexandra Balafrej. A wide range of areas of cooperation was covered, including educational, cultural and sporting links, and Gibraltar as a destination for Moroccans taking part in programmes supported by the British Council.
