Jul 27 - Excessive Frontier Queues continue
For the second day in a row this week, the Frontier Queues to leave Gibraltar have been horrendous. The RGP's latest tweet at around 13:40 states that the queues are "Tail end by Winston Churchill Avenue. Estimated time: 4 hours".
Many people's opinions on Social Media are that these excessive queues have been artificially created after the incidents on Thursday and Friday, during which the Government of Gibraltar started laying concrete bricks in British Gibraltar Territorial Waters.
The Guardia Civil, who at the time were in fact alongside a Spanish fishing vessel, were approached by the RGP and the Royal Navy. Works continued despite the Guardia Civil's efforts to disrupt.
Yesterday AquaGib provided a water bowser for the queues, as people were being forced to sit in their cars in the sun for many hours.
