Feb 18 – Warning Issued As Strong Winds Continue
18 February 2015
All motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are being warned to take extra care while crossing the runway today as strong winds continue. The current wind speed is reported to be 25 mph with gusts hitting the 35 mph mark.
Earlier this morning, strong gusts of up to 55 mph were recorded and it is expected that similar conditions will continue throughout the day.
As a precautionary measure, the pedestrian gate next to Eroski is being closed and pedestrians are being directed to use the other side of the road.
